Cédric Hayet, Assistant Product Manager"tkMF recognises the potential of each and every one of its employees and constantly helps them to achieve success by offering them something more!"
I started working for thyssenkrupp Materials France in 2008 as a production operator/storekeeper. In 2011, I decided to make a career change and joined the sales department of the Aerospace division as an on-site sales representative. This position helped me to develop my sales skills, which I consolidated further in 2014 when I became a technical on-site sales representative. In 2016, I was given the opportunity to try a new experience and stretch myself even further as Assistant Product Manager.
These four positions, and therefore four experiences, have shaped both my career and my life in just a short time.
Catherine Langlais – Office Manager in charge of a team of six on-site sales representatives"Who said that the industrial sector was just for men? tkMF is a large company with a family feel, where all employees are stakeholders in its development. I am proud to work for a company which constantly takes our expectations into consideration and advocates collaborative work with extremely professional and dynamic people."
I joined tkMF in 1988 as Sales Correspondent specialising in stainless steel products in one of our sales offices in Carquefou. In 1997, the office was transferred to Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire. At this point, we adopted a new tandem organisation and began marketing our entire product range. The metallurgy sector is extremely rich and diverse because steel is all around us. After a few years, tkMF gave me the chance to take on a position with greater responsibility and I became Office Manager in 2016. This new opportunity enabled me to develop new skills, particularly by managing a team of no less than six on-site sales representatives!
I have remained loyal to this company for over 29 years.
Fréderic Dezon – Metallurgy Support Manager"What’s more, when you work in Metallurgy Support (service quality department), you need to know the suppliers’ production processes (which give a material all of its specific properties) as well as our customers’ assembly and forming methods. That way, we can suggest the best way of reconciling the producer’s capacity and the user’s requirements."
When I welcome and train young, newly hired metallurgy engineers, I’m always proud to tell them that they have just joined the school with the largest metallurgical programme in the profession.
I’m a student at heart and I’ve been studying all metallic materials at tkMF for just over 20 years.
Are you passionate about science? If, like me, you like to know how things are made and want to come up with technical solutions to fulfil customer expectations then don’t hesitate to knock on our door – we can offer you wonderful experiences!
